4"x6" oil on raymar panel. Well, I am back from my hiatus from posting. Anyway... A friend gave us a set of four brightly colored ice cream bowls with matching spoons and since there are members of my immediate tribe who worship at the Shrine of Ice Cream, it seemed appropriate to paint a bowl. I was going to paint all four bowls nested together, but due to their tall bases, they don't nest in the normal way. It is one of those decisions you have to make as a painter: This would look okay and acceptable in a photograph, but would it look okay in a painting? – Probably not and I was not really in the mood to wipe a canvas.
