Green Apple

4"x6" oil on board. Full frontal nudity seemed appropriate. I mean, an apple cut in half is a beautiful thing and I wanted to show it off. So, I cut the apple in half and stood it up. It fell down. I stood it up again and it fell down again and again. It even spit out its seeds at me during one fall. What to do? Using all the available resources at my disposal (air force, marines, etc.), I propped it up with its other half, thus this composition was born out of necessity. I think it is a much more interesting painting for not having just the one half. The sinister seeds even make an appearance.
