6"x4" oil on board. This is one of those old galvanized steel watering cans. For some reason, the rosette is not made from the same galvanized material, so it's surface is completely encrusted with beautiful rust. With its rich hues, rust is a great subject to paint. To chase that rust color, you actually need blue for the mix.
