6"x4" oil on gessoed door skin. There is an apple tree right outside my studio door, so I painted these blossoms. It's that simple. I painted them because they are there. Seems straight forward enough, until you do it. The combination of the blossoms being bunched together and the dappled sunlight made holding the values together a challenge.Posted April 1, 2008
