Lego Man

4"x6" oil on gessoed door skin. These little people are ubiquitous in my household. He had to be really close so I could get a good look at him. You will notice his yellowness - argh! Don't get me wrong, I love the color yellow. It is always on my palette and is an invaluable alternative to white when lightening the value of a color. But while white is the devilishly strong color best kept until the end or at least in reserve due to its affects on everything it touches, yellow is the poor wimp that all the bullies give noogies to. Whether a cadmium or a synthetic, it just gets its tail kicked by other colors. Moving on... This little guy really cheers me up, though his unwavering stare is a little unsettling.
