  1. Hello from Canada. I am simply mesmerized by your work. Oh, if I only lived closer.I would love to see your work in person.I have become a huge fan of yours. Your manipulation of the paint to make the mundane stunning is genius! I hope to procure a small painting of yours as soon as it can be afforded (need a nod from my own "spousal unit" hehe). I am just starting out painting, ("puttering" you could say). May I ask if you have a favorite brand of oils/mediums and how long they take to dry? Thank you in advance Raymond. By the way, just so you know; your hilarious commentary makes you instantly like-able and adds to the attractiveness of your art, making it magnetic in my opinion. Just saying. Take care. Brenda.

    1. Hello, Brenda. Thank you for your nice comments. ••• I use a lot of paint, a lot, and I tend not to be brand loyal, at all. What ever is gooey enough and doesn't cost and arm and a leg—maybe just a leg—usually works for me. ••• Drying time on my work has less to do with the paint that I use than how thick the paint is applied. Some of my small work can dry in six months, while some of my larger work might be a year or two. They all dry to the touch in a month or two, but the paint underneath is still wet—kinda like a pimple.
