No Age

30"x20" oil on canvas • Yet another urbanscape I initially did smaller (6"x4" - that makes the above piece 500% in scale).  •  If you ever go into Downtown L.A., you might notice that they repainted this sign. It still says, "No Age," but in an uglier (if possible) typeface. I was thinking of forwarding my opinion about the new typeface selection, but any establishment that requires iron bars plus plywood over its windows, a steel roll front door, and, apparently, only opens at night, can do whatever the heck it pleases. (No Age = Vampires? Just throwing it out there.)
