Bosc Over Clementine

8"x8" oil on canvas. • This size and subject matter are somewhat odd for me. I have painted fruit before, but not much lately and I have never painted an 8x8 canvas. There exist, of course, deeply felt philosophical motivations behind my approach and reasoning for this piece. And here they are, stated publicly and unabashedly: The fruit was just sitting there on the kitchen counter and for some bizarre reason I had picked up an oddball 8x8 canvas (I think somebody slipped in my bag or if fell off the shelf or something). Wow, I'm deep.
