1929 Ford Model A

6"x4" oil on masonite panel. I vaguely remember once reading that, "To maintain one's metal stability, one should draw, paint, photograph, or just plain ol' stare in fascination at the beauty of a fine automobile."  While this life-changing tidbit was not, most assuredly, muttered by the Buddha (I think it was etched into the back of a men's room stall door up at Art Center—probably in the photo department), it seemed like sound enough advice to me. So, to further buttress up my (somewhat wobbly) mental state, I painted the beautiful automobile you see above.
