Martinelli's Sparkling Cider with Blue Ribbon

6"x4" oil on raymar panel. • So the kid gets his braces off and they give him a bottle of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider with a cute little blue ribbon. You know what I got when my braces were unceremoniously (a.k.a. torturously) taken off? A not-so-veiled threat from The Old Man that if I screwed up my teeth, I would receive a bill for all the money he dumped into my braces. I tear up just thinking about the love expressed that day.
