Thor 1/4" Power Drill

8"x10" oil on canvas. • I found this drill buried in a cupboard in my late father's garage. While I have absolutely no memory of using it in my childhood, adulthood, or any other hood for that matter, its ugly beauty intrigued me enough to paint it. As you can probably tell, I threw my whole palette at the subject to see what would stick. That is one of the great things about grays: You can just attack them and they are so receptive to color variations.  •  Stainless steel rocks! (Dude!)
