4"x6" oil on raymar panel. Still stranded on Buckley Road surrounded by nothing but this leaning sign. These little paintings serve many purposes. One is being trials for possible larger paintings. I thought this one might be a candidate for a larger piece, maybe a 20" x 30" or a 12" x 18", but I am not sure. The composition is sound enough, with its opposing triangles creating tension going back and forth horizontally. Don't ask me to explain what I just typed, I even confused myself. Anyway... I guess I will just have to sleep on it. Maybe, I will take the time on the larger piece to make sure you can tell the sign reads, "SANTA FE RD", maybe not.
