Kabocha Squash

4"x6" oil on raymar panel. Serving up a little Japanese pumpkin. I hope you enjoy it. Orange is not a color I usually wrangle with. You may have noticed that it is not the most common color in my paintings - maybe a tangerine here and there (I like tangerines). It's not that I don't like the hue, it just doesn't come up all that much. So, here I am, murdering an innocent squash to get at some orange.
