White Camellia

4"x6" oil on board. This painting marks my return to painting on masonite board. When I first started painting, masonite was all I used. That could have had something to do with the fact that I got a big batch of it for free. But we won't go into that now. Masonite's surface is nice and smooth, requiring less preparation on my part. The only drawback is the fact that if you drop it, its corners crumble/dent a little easier than door skin. Ultimately, all this means is that you should not be playing frisbee with my art. Oh yeah, I painted a white camellia from our backyard. I hope you like it.
