4"x6" oil on door skin. That red book is enormous. Art Center was giving away books from its library so I took a look. Upon inspection, I noticed that most were seriously outdated reference books, but this large red book caught my eye. It is an old The New Columbia Encyclopedia and it weighs as much as a VW bus loaded with party-going teenagers. I had a choice between this book or the couch as an anchor for this still life and the poor couch was just too small.
