4"x6" oil on door skin. Ah, the challenge of painting a little Japanese tea bowl with thin white lines and Japanese script. Don't ask me what it says. If I were to ask my in-laws, all they would probably say is something like, "Dang! Of course it's hot - you stupid idiot!". So much for accurate translations! I do not often place cloth under my subjects, but this red velvet seems to have worked out pretty well.
