6"x4" oil on gessoed door skin. Experimenting with casting a shadow onto a subject is been something I have wanted to try for a while and what better models than the ever present meyer lemon and green bottle. The area of the lemon being hit by the light might look like straight forward pigment, but there is a minimum of four colors mixed in there to create even the lightest yellows.
