6"x4" oil on gessoed door skin. When I was a kid, this was a standard issue item in our kitchen. I thought everybody had this in their cupboard, just like they would have salt. You take an empty spice bottle, put in some sugar and cinnamon, shake and — voilá! — the greatest thing since sliced bread. As a matter of fact, sprinkling this on buttered toast is great! I know, I know, it may not be the healthiest thing in the world, but you gotta live a little on the edge. It's either cinnamon sugar or, let's say — sky diving. I'm going with my cinnamon sugar. Oh yeah, I had a lot of fun painting this. Glass bottles are always challenging, especially ones containing a concoction I can't wait to sprinkle on my toast.
