6"x4" oil on gessoed door skin. These daily paintings are a good opportunity for me to do studies for larger pieces. When painting portraits, I really like to experiment with the colors and this little study helped me with that. Portraits can also be great experiments in warm/cools. This size head is a first for me and hopefully there will be more to come.
