10"x8" oil on canvas. Painting with under mixed colors and laying the paint on thick is very liberating. The amount of paint on this little portrait could paint several larger canvases. The kimono hanging on the wall behind the model reminded me of a mosaic. Her pants are created from a mud of ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson and yellow ochre. I moved it warm or cool with the yellow ochre and cerulean blue, no white. The whites on her shirt probably contain every color from my palette and, being under mixed, I hope they are visible.
