Sparkling Mike Robot

6"x4" oil on panel  (As promised, here is the second piece from my email twofer.) "Don't start collecting tin toy robots... Don't start collecting tin toy robots... Don't start collecting tin toy robots." That is the mantra I repeat whenever I come across one of these wonderful little metal men. As The Spousal Unit will gladly inform you—or anybody else who happens to be walking by—the mantra, in her opinion, does not work. In my rather weak defense, I will say that I do not have many robots residing in the studio. (Please do not ask me for my definition of "many." As a matter of fact, let's just move on.) As far as collecting little plastic dinosaurs (see below), no worries there. I pilfered those two from Spawn Number Two. Why collect when you can steal from your child's already insanely large collection? ••• As the following list of mayhem illustrates, it is a busy time for me. All society should recognize that it is best to keep the artistic ilk occupied, you do not want them wandering around asking innocent bystanders where they can get their grubby little hands on some cheap turpentine.
