6"x4" oil on raymar panel. I know an artist who often sits on this back stoop drinking coffee and yelling at small wild animals. I'm sure the neighbors think he has one, if not many, a screw loose. At first, I was reluctant to tackle this as a subject because of all the details in the star jasmine vines you see there on either side of the door. Then it finally hit me: Details, we don't need no stinkin' details - just paint it! That and the shadows cast across the wall and door were just too hard to resist.
