10"x8" oil on canvas. I am not sure what the star of this painting is, but I would vote for Nicole's hair. It demanded the off center positioning of the head just to show off its Medusa-like quality. There were all sorts of curls and undulations in that dark mane, but I chose to go all black - blue black, crimson black, black black. Illustrating the details in her hair would have been a distraction.
