6"x4" oil on raymar panel. This is a study for a commissioned portrait. One of the challenges of this particular piece is the fact that I knew this man. While it gives me additional incite, it also introduces additional emotions into the painting process. I thought doing a study might help me through some of those emotions as well as familiarize myself with his unique facial structure.
