Bestine Can

6"x4" oil on board. If you recognize this object, I would hazard a guess that you are old school. It is a pre-computer tool used by paste-up artists that dispensed a potent solvent that probably killed mass quantities of gray cells. That solvent is the infamous Bestine Rubber Cement Thinner and it was a life saver for many a paste-up artist. The dispenser is an odd subject for a still life due to the long neck located on one side, but I think the graphic shapes of the negative spaces work.
