6"x4" oil on door skin. It would seem that every daily painter must paint a salt shaker. Here's mine. Having the light source towards the back of the shaker made for more interesting colors and values. I didn't want to tangle with just different bright whites, but sought the reflected colors and shadows in the glass and the salt. The holes in the top were actually achieved with the same tool I use to carve my signature.
