Two Cylinders
4"x6" oil on door skin. The metal can has a beautifully rusted handle on its lid which brought in some nice contrast both valuewise and colorwise, as well as mating to the cardboard tube in the paper. The white of the paper can fool you into painting it too white, the only pure white pigment on this painting is the left edge of the top. The whites on the top vary with the minimum mix being no less than four colors.
